The Mary, Mother of the Redeemer Parish Community affirms the teaching of the Second Vatican Council which states that parents must be acknowledged as the first and foremost educators of their children. Faith must be experienced and lived. Our program includes opportunities for prayer, liturgies, scripture readings, doctrine, retreats and service projects, all of which will foster the faith passed on by parents.

PREP Registration
The Religious Education Commitment begins in 1st grade. A student must have 2 years of religious education prior to receiving sacraments. Re-registration applications for current families were mailed out the end of March 2012.
Kindergarten is an optional program that has been most successful with the children. It has plenty of hands on activities and the children seem to handle the “extended day” just fine.
The schedule for the 2012-2013 school year will be as follows:
- SESSION 1: Tuesday afternoons 4:40pm-6:00pm (grade K-6)
- SESSION 2: Wednesday afternoons 4:40pm-6:00pm (grade 1-6, learning support)
- SESSION 3: Wednesday evenings 6:30pm-7:50pm (grade 1-6)
New families please come to the school office to pick up registration paper work beginning March 30, 2012.
We are in need of catechists and aides for next year. Catechists receive full tuition credit; aides receive a $100.00 tuition credit. Year after year many of the catechists find this ministry extremely rewarding. As stated by one of our catechists this year: “Sharing my love for Jesus with children is one of the most gratifying things I have ever done. I learn more about my faith and grow a deeper love for my Savior with each moment I spend with His wonderful children.” Please consider this worthy ministry and if interested please indicate on the registration form. We provide all the necessary training and teaching materials.
If you have any questions please call the Religious Education office at 215-412-2251 or email us: nancyfranks@mmredeemer.org or jmclean@mmredeemer.org.
