The Catholic Social Teaching Committee strives to foster a spirit of education and awareness of the seven principles of Catholic Social Teaching, which include:
Life and Dignity of the Human Person · Call to Family, Community and Participation · Rights and Responsibilities · Option for the Poor and Vulnerable · The Dignity of Work and the Rights of Workers · Solidarity · Care for God’s Creation
The committee offers opportunities to participate in activities that are rooted in faith and compassion and promote on-going Works of Mercy within the parish and those that reach out to our greater community.
The committee meets the third Wednesday of the month, September thru June. If you are being called to get involved, please contact JoAnne Higgins at joannehigg115@gmail.com.
Through the intercession of Mary, Mother of the Redeemer, we strive to embody Christ’s call to love and serve others and to honor and celebrate God’s gift of creation.
